One-Act 2023-2024 Season

Beyond Tolerance

The Potter-Dix One-Act team made it to state another year, which means they have gone three years in a row! The play they performed was titled "Beyond Tolerance" and according to the synopsis, the play is about, "the bizarre world of Burnem University, 'the finest educational institution in the world,' according to its founder, P.T. Burnem. Here, tolerance and political correctness are taken to extremes, and Gracious Mary Sensible, the school's newest student, finds that her old ideas of right and wrong don't make any sense here. Eventually she learns that conformity to the new order is not merely encouraged, it is absolutely required" This play was directed by Morgan Boots and was assisted by Beth Bogart and Erika Revord. The team competed first at MAC and the team got runner up! Kyle Lenstrom and Jaxson Chase received All-Conference honors and RJ Ramsey and Crystal Dhooge received Honorable mentions. The next competition was districts and the team got first! Outstanding Actor awards were received by Jacina Wilbur, Jaxson Chase, Amanda Waggoner, Crystal Dhooge, Kyle Lenstrom, RJ Ramsey, and Dylan Tabor, and Outstanding Male Performer was awarded to Jaxson Chase. The final competition was state and the team got third! Outstanding Actor awards were received by Kyle Lenstrom, RJ Ramsey, and Crystal Dhooge, and Jaxson Chase received Best Actor.
