Story by Micayla McConnell
This week, Potter-Dix Public Schools would like to highlight a program available to our seniors. This program, known as a work study, job shadowing, or an internship, was introduced in 2022 when Superintendent Mr. Arent and School Counselor Mrs. Deeds dedicated their time to incorporating it into the school day.
This program enables students to select local businesses that align with their career interests. Students are able to explore different businesses and fields while gaining hands-on work experience throughout the school year. The students who participate in this program get credit for the time and work they put into their job.
In the past, students have made this program a success. These students include:
Jayden (Sidney Regional Medical Center)
Caden (High West Energy, Emerald Ranch LLC, and M&S Drilling)
Madison (Sidney Regional Medical Center)
Hannah (Creekside Animal Hospital)
Brayden (Kasten Ag)
Jaclyn (High Point Spine and Joint Center)
Crystal (High Point Spine and Joint Center)

Micayla (High Point Spine and Joint Center and 98.7 The Big Boy)
